iTech/Linear Electric PTO Benefits
Offering the flexibility to take time away from work for personal reasons, vacations,
or health issues without losing income
Q: Who gets paid time off?
A: Employees who have earned a qualifying amount of hours and meet other criteria will receive an offer to benefit from Paid Time Off. To find out if you qualify for Paid Time Off, talk to your supervisor.
Q: When does PTO begin?
A: All PTO hours are per year, starting January 1st, ending Dec 31 of the given year.
Q: Can I rollover any unused PTO?
A: There are no rollovers. Use them or lose them - any unused hours are not redeemable for trade or compensation.
Q: How will I know if I have been paid the PTO?
A: All Paid Time Off hours show up on your payroll stub as Vacation, Sick or Paid Time Off (Holiday) pay, at your regular rate of pay. PTO does not have the capacity to qualify as Overtime.
Q: How many hours are paid for a PTO?
A: 8 hours are the maximum hours available in one 24 hour period. All hours are paid at the regular hourly rate of pay.
Q: Can I use PTO hours on a day I worked?
A: For Sick hours, up to a maximum of 4 hours can be used per day, while the hours worked must not exceed 4 hours.
Q: When can PTO be applied?
A: Holiday pay will be automatically applied. Vacation hours must be requested in advance, and receive admin approval. Sick hours are for emergencies and must be called in as soon as practicable.
Q: How do I request a Vacation or Sick Day?
A: Request all Vacation and Sick pay through the Quickbooks Workforce App. In your notes, indicate which type it is for.
Note: It may show as Unpaid Time Off in the app. If you have the PTO benefits, it will be applied as Paid Time Off, Vacation, or Sick hours unless otherwise arranged.
You must receive approval through the app by Thursday at 3pm in order to receive PTO for that payroll. All submissions after each Thursday may be on the following payroll.
